一、考试内容和形式

    试卷主要考查学生英语基础知识、基本技能、职业活动中的英语应用能力，也考查学生的文化知识，对中国传统文化和西方文化的初略了解程度、中西文化差异的了解，考生初步的跨文化意识和基本的跨文化交际能力，以及正确的情感、态度和价值观。

试卷由四部分组成：I．语法知识及应用；Ⅱ．阅读理解；Ⅲ．英译汉；IV.应用写作。下面对各部分的测试内容和要求作具体说明。

I．语法知识及应用。主要测试英语词汇和基础语法知识及其应用，题型为单项选择，共10小题，20分。每小题留有一或两个空白处，要求考生从所给的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳答案。主要考查考生对已学词汇和语法知识的运用能力。

II．阅读理解。主要测试综合语言能力，共10小题。要求考生阅读2篇短文。题型为单项选择。共10小题，每题4分。每篇短文后有五个问题或未完成的句子。考生根据短文内容从所给的选项中选出能回答问题或填入句子空白处的最佳选项，主要考查学生的综合阅读能力。

考生应能：①依上下文猜测某个单词或词组的意思；②理解文章的主旨；③迅速查找文中的具体信息；④对文内信息的真伪做出判断和推理；⑤对句子或段落做出简单的推断；⑥理解作者的观点、态度和写作意图。

阅读材料的选取遵循三个原则：①总阅读量不少于300个单词（不含所附回答问题部分），篇数2篇；②题材广泛及日常生活、地理、历史、人物、社会、文学、艺术、科技、政治、经济、教育等领域；③体裁多样，包括记叙文、说明文、议论文、应用文、新闻报道、小说片段等。

III．英译汉。主要测试考生将英语正确译成汉语的能力。所译材料为句子，包括一般性内容和实用性内容（各约占50%）。题型为选择题，共10小题，每题3分。要求考生从所给的选项中选出最佳答案。主要考查考生对已学词汇的掌握和句子结构的分析能力。

IV. 应用写作。主要测试综合运用语言能力，共1小题，10分。考生应根据试题要求，完成一篇简短的应用文写作任务。主要考查考生对英语词汇知识、语法知识的综合应用能力以及基本的应用文写作能力。

整个试卷要求考生在答题卡上以填涂或书写的形式作答。

Lewis and his party were travelling in the Wild West. The Native Americans at several places had told them about a kind of bears, which weighed about 60 pounds. The local people would only attack these great bears if there were six to ten people I their hunting party, and even then the bears would sometimes kill one of them.

Lewis was out alone on June 15, 1805. Suddenly he saw a bear came towards him. He held up his gun but it didn’t work. The bear was getting closer. There were no trees nearby, but there was a river. So he quickly ran into the water. The bear followed. When the bear saw him in the water, for some reason it stopped and ran in the other direction. Lewis was lucky.

Finally, just before dark, the bear gave up and left. McNeal climbed down and got back to camp safely.
